Some residents of the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region have vowed to vote out some Assembly members in the next assembly’s elections over what they term as “Useless petition” against the Tamale Mayor, Hon Iddrisu Musah Superior.
In a petition dated 25th October 2017 and signed by 33 members of the Assembly seeking the impeachment of Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, residents of Tamale term the petition as dubious and concocting stories that sort to denigrate the hard won reputation of the Tamale Mayor.
Residents said, the petitioners are saboteurs and enemy of the Tamale metropolis who are seeking for their own selfish interest.
According to them, the honourably assembly members have acted dishonourably and therefore must be punish, “We will vote them out in the next assembly elections because I don’t think they are representing the people of Tamale but themselves. It is very clear their motive”. A resident said
Speaking to savannanews24.com, a resident of Vittin stated categorically that, he will make sure the Assembly member of his area pay dearly for signing the petition, “I don’t think he deserve to be my assembly man, any assembly member who signed on the bogus petition is an enemy to his or her electoral area and the entire Tamale metropolis. We all saw the good things this wonderful Mayor is doing to our city, so what are they trying to tell us”.
Your authoritative news worthy savannanews24.com have interviewed residents in all the 33 electoral areas of the Assembly members that signed the petition said, they are disappointed with the attitudes of their assembly members.
Many have also condemn the actions of the Assembly members and therefore called on them to render unqualified apology to the Tamale Mayor, Hon Iddrisu Musah Superior or face their wrath.
Some chiefs in the Tamale Metropolis have since called on the petitioners to discard their motive and again render an apology to Mr. Musah Superior.
