It has emerged that new management members of the Savanah Accelerated Development Authority have declared their individual assets on assumption of office as managers of the Authority.

It what he described as upholding accountability to the people, Corporate Affairs and Administration officer for SADA Danse Salifu-Samson said all members of the management have declared their assets.

“Every single member of the management has declared his assets. From Coordinators right to the CEO, we have all declared our assets. What more would be accountability to the people than this?” he quizzed.

SADA suffered a blow following revelations of financial malfeasance in a 2014 auditor general’s report but Mr. Salifu hinted that some part of the monies have been retrieved following the President’s directive to the SADA board to review and resolve the major issues in the report.

He added that the board in the coming months would brief the media on how far it has come with retrieving monies that went into wrong areas after submitting its report to the President.

According to him, the decision to declare assets is a clear demonstration of the management’s readiness to deal with issues of financial misappropriation and to ensure that resources at the disposal of the Authority are channeled to judicious use.
