The President commended the bank for instituting a scholarship― the Jim Ovia Foundation scholarships ―which, in September 2017, approved US$ one million grant for over 30 students of the Ashesi University in Ghana and the Covenant University in Nigeria.

President Akufo-Addo described the gesture a tremendous initiative and assured the bank and all those associated with it of government’s maximum support.

He commended President Akufo-Addo for his bold and exemplary leadership and his passion and conviction to leave Ghana an enduring legacy through the industrial transformation agenda.

The Board Chairman of Zenith Bank Ghana, Mrs. Chinery-Hesse, noted that the magnificent new Head office represented a significant milestone in the life of the Bank.

In his remarks, Dr Maxwell Opoku Afari, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, congratulated Zennith Bank on the feat chalked.

Dr Afari described the new headquarters edifice as an “emphatic statement” of the banks presence in the minds of the people in view of the bank’s level of development and use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Zenith Bank operates in several countries across the continent, including South Africa and particularly in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region; it is also in England and China.

In Ghana, the bank, currently, operates 35 business offices across the country.

Since its establishment in 2005, the bank has witnessed an exponential growth and is acclaimed to be among the largest and most respected banks in Ghana.
