President Akufo-Addo appoints Mohammed Sampa to MMT

H.E the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has appointed Mr. Mohammed Sampa as Deputy CEO (Finance and Administration) of Metro Mass Transit Limited . This was made known during the inauguration of the 9 member Board of Directors by Hon Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Minister of Transport on behalf of the President, with Hon Ahmed Arthur as the Board Chairman

The 47 years old Accountant before his appointment was the Administrative/Finance Manager for the Presby Agric Services (PFT-CDP) in Tamale. He has over15 years working experience in auditing , finance and administration with Sappor and Agyekwana Chartered Accountants, Positive Steps Ghana and Presbyterian Agricultural Services respectively

Mr. Sampa attended Kumasi Polytechnic and University of Cape Coast for his higher education and pursuing course to become a Chartered Accountant


Mr. Sampa has been an instrumental figure in organizing and supporting the NPP party since 2008 in the Mamprugu Constituencies and Northern Region to have Nana Addo Dankwa Akuff Addo and Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as President and Vice President.

He contested Nalerigu-Gambaga Constituency NPP primaries in 2012 but lost and strongly campaigned for Hon Hajia Alima Mahama to become parliamentary candidate and member of parliament in the last election.

Mr. Sampa is married to Mrs Helena Sampa and they are blessed with 2 children.
