Kesmi Fm, a local radio station based in the Tamale Metropolis has successfully embarked on a health walk to commemorate this year’s Valentine’s Day celebrations in Tamale.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kesmi_FM, ‪Mr. Ibrahim_Kesse in an exclusive interview with ‎AmaraabaGH elaborated on how management of the radio station saw the need to have their own version of celebrating Valentine by engaging their cherished listeners in a health walk through some principal streets of Tamale


‎Mr._Ibrahim was of the view that since Valentine’s Day is a day of showing love to one another, Kesmi_FM chose to embark on a health walk dubbed ‎Kesmi_Love_Walk to show some love to their listeners and the entire Tamale metropolis.
Mr. Ibrahim added that, the walk brought together various political parties to participate in walking together for good health and peaceful election 2016.

Touching on peaceful co-existence with one another though we have different views politically.
Mr. Ibrahim also reminded the people of ‎Tamale to allow peace be the winner before, during and after this year’s elections.
“it is the wish of Kesmi FM for us to have a violent free elections 2016 and violent free Tamale”.
He, indicated that, it is for this backdrop Kesmi FM’s programs are all development oriented.
AmaraabaGH also had an exclusive interview with General Manager of Kesmi_FM, ‪‎Kweku_Oduro ‎(KOD) and on his part, echoed that the whole idea came up in January 2016 where management of Kesmi_Fm decided to embark on at least one activity in every month to socialize more with their listeners and the entire Metropolis.

KOD further disclosed to AmaraabaGH that the ‪Gumafest which befell in January as well as the Kesmi Love Walk has all come to stay and hinted their listeners to expect more in the subsequent months till the end of the year.
He also mentioned that Management of Kesmi_FM have set a target to be the most active Radio station on social media in Tamale by the end of 2016.
‪Miss Ewurama_Attoh, a presenter at the station urged the general public not to misconstrue valentine to mean “having sex” but to show love to those who need to be loved. “even a smile is a sign of love” she added.
