Dagbon Naatia donates dormitory to Gushegu SHS

The Naatia of the Dagbon Traditional Area, Chief Naa Tia Salifu Shiraz has donated a three dormitory block for the Gushegu Senior High School in the Gushegu District of the Northern Region.

The school since its inception have been grappling with accommodation problems with students which led many students to rent rooms in the township especially students coming out the district.

Students have to paid huge sums of money to get accommodation in the Gushegu township.

Several attempts and appeals to politicians for hostel at the school did not yield until an appeal was made to the Dagbon Naa Tia, also an old student of the school.

The Dagbon Naa Tia, who is also arenowned Spiritual leader and philanthropist presenting the keys to the authorities of the school noted that, education is the future of Ghana adding that, providing educational infrastructure is the best way to improve quality education in the districts.

He said,  building the dormitory and other educational infrastructure for the school has been his vision since childhood, “It is my duty to ensure that my brothers and sisters in Gushegu have the best of education.  So what you seeing today is one of the things that I want bring to Gushegu and it’s surroundings”.

The Dagbon Naa Tia said, education in the area cannot be compromised and therefore urge parents to show utmost interest in their wards education.

The renowned Spiritualist in Ghana hinted that, “As a spiritualist, my interest is to give help to all and sundry. Helping the deprived in the society and providing avenues for social growth especially the youth”.

Dagbon Naa Tia therefore urge the teachers of the school to continue their good works for the benefit of humankind.

The school authority thanked Chief Naa Tia gesture.
