Daawa Islamic Center holds maiden graduation ceremony


Daawa Islamic Center has held its maiden graduation ceremony in Katarga, a suburb of the Sagnarigu Municipality.

A total of twenty (20) young people between the ages of 5-15 years distinguished themselves in the recitation of the Holy Quran and mastery of the Holy Prophet Mohammed Hardiths and Sunnah.

The graduands comprise of 15 girls and 5 boys of the institute completed the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Proprietor of the Daawa Islamic Center, Sheikh Imam Alhaji Hussein Jimah urge parents to show much concern about their wards education especially the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

He again advised Muslim parents to organise regular trainings on Islam at home to prevent their children from being indoctrinated with wrong ideology.

A guest speaking at the event, a renowned Muslim Scholar, Afa Abdul-Sameem Issah, advises the graduands to continue to learn very hard to impact positively on the society.

He said, knowledge is very important in Islamic and therefore called on parents and guardians to support their wards education.

The Islamic graduation (Walimah) of the Daawa Islamic Center brought together parents and guardians to witness the ceremony.

At the events also includes various renowned Imams and Sheikhs who spoke on various topics of the Holy Quran.

The graduands received Holy Quran and a certificate of recognition.
