Bugri Naabu “okeys”contender’s philanthropic gesture to party

The maverick NPP Northern Regional Chairman Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu is said to have been overwhelmed by a philanthropist gesture by one of his close contenders to the chairmanship race.

A financier and philanthropist of the party, Mr. Adam Samba donated a furnished ultra-modern communication office to the party’s Communication Directorate, Saturday.

The donation forms part of the NPP Northern Regional Chairman hopeful plans to equip the party structures in the region with the necessary tools for effective communications.

Mr. Samba earlier at a press conference announces his intentions to contest Mr. Naabu for the regional chairmanship position.

At a ceremony to hand over the office to the Communication directorate of the party, Mr. Naabu in his profound gratitude said, his close contender has been a backbone of the party whose immense contribution towards the party victory in the 2016 elections cannot be overemphasized.

Mr. Mohammed Samba who is also the chairman of patrons of the party in the Northern Region has also been described as a grassroots man who supports party activities in the hinterlands.

The Northern Regional NPP Chairman, Mr. Bugri nicknamed “Chairman Bulldozer”  message was conveyed by the Director of Communication of the Party, Mohammed Abdul Kudos after receiving the keys of the ultra-modern communication office on behalf of the Regional Executives of the party.

Mr. Abdul Kudos said, executives of party are delighted about the kind gesture of Mr. Samba, adding that, “(this is) the first of its kind to the communication directorate (of the party). A lot have actually been done …we’ve not only been given an office …. we actually have been given the aids and tools that will help us in positioning ourselves to properly take NPP communication to another level”.

The Northern Regional Communication Director of the NPP hinted that, Mr. Bugri Naabu have given his blessings to his close contender Mr. Samba in all his endeavours , reiterating that, Mr. Naabu and Mr. Samba came a long way.

The Coordinator for team Samba, Mr. Yussif Toyibu in an interview said, the maverick chairman of the party is a father to all, “and we have so much respect for him”.

Mr. Yussif known as “Agenda” indicated that, the regional chairmanship race is a family affair and therefore will be contested peaceful without any rancor.

He said, the contest between Mr. Naabu and Samba will be a father and son contest but reiterated that,  “ we will retire Chairman Bugri… he is tired and need to rest”.

Though nominations for the chairmanship position is yet to be open, however, according our investigations seven (7) persons have since shown their intentions to contest Mr. Bugri Naabu,  including Alhaji Amadu Jack (a contractor), Mr. EK Gumah (a businessman), Alhaji Sibawey Muggis (a businessman), Alhaji Amadu Inusah (a businessman/current NPP Chairman for Yendi), Alhaji Abdulai Hindu (Regional NADMO Boss/current Regional  Organizer ), Alhaji Joe Kadir (a businessman/financier of the party) and Mr. Mohammed Samba (a businessman/financier of the party)
