Teachers support headmaster in leaked sex video

Following the back and forth of the sex video of the embattled headmaster of Adumanu D/A basic school, Mr. Robert Sepey has been ordered by the Asikuma Odoben – Brakwa District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to hand over the administration of the school to the circuit supervisor of the area.

A statement issued on Tuesday by the District Director of Education, Mr. Isaac Godwin Kwesi Acquaah – Ahin, said the decision was arrived at after a meeting with the headmaster Mr. Sepey, who admitted to being the one in the video and pleaded to be forgiven.

Savannanews24, took time to interview some teachers about the issue and the decision taken by the District Directorate to dismiss the headmaster of his post. A teacher whom the news team first interact with, said the conduct of the said headmaster was not good and uncalled for. And that he shouldn’t have record the act.

When asked whether the headmaster should be punish for his misconduct? He answered no. That the headmaster admitted to the act and also pleaded for forgiveness, so he should be forgiven.


Others also agree to the fact that what the headmaster did by recording the act was very bad. But said the sexual intercourse the headmaster had with his former student was an agreement between the two, so therefore should not be punish for that. They also said that, Ghana Education Service (GES) is not fair to the headmaster, Mr. Robert Sepey.

In a related story, the Ghana National Association of Teachers said that their preliminary investigations indicate that parents of the 19 years old girl are aware of the amorous relationship between the two. So therefore the headmaster did no wrong.

Meanwhile the teachers rules of conduct state’s that; 1. Any teacher who has carnal knowledge of any female or male pupil/student of any age, with or without his or her consent, shall be guilty of professional misconduct.

2. No teacher shall compel any female or male pupil/student in his or her school or in any educational institution to marry him or her with or without the consent of the child’s parents.Screenshot_20180125-222257
