Tamale Ready to host maiden NPP Youth conference today

The Northern Regional capital, Tamale will on today Friday 6th December 2019 host the maiden NPP Youth conference. The NPP Youth conference will be held at the multi-purpose conference hall of the UDS Dungu campus in the Tamale Metropolis.

The conference under the theme “One Good term deserves another “ is expected to bring together over ten thousand NPP youth across the country.

The Northern Regional Youth Organiser of the NPP, Mr Alhasaan Gaana said, all is set to host the party youth and other dignitaries invited to participate in the conference.

He said, youth conference undoubtedly is one of the exciting moments in the history of the youth wing of the party, “the conference is an indication of the party commitment towards the growths of the youth”. “This also demonstrates the party intentions to work with the party youth for a greater benefits” He added

Mr Gaana said, the cordiality and working relationship with the rank and file of the party, “we indeed addressed most of the challenges affecting our party youth, we do not have youth agitating these day, it’s because we have put in strong communication mechanism to address issues of party youth”.

The NPP Youth Organiser said, the conference will go a long way to strengthen the cohesion and unity of the party youth, adding that “the conference is also in recognition of the role play by the youth of our party “.

He said, the NPP and that matter the people of the Northern region are witnessing historic events under the Nana Addo led NPP administration. “For the first time in our history and the history of Ghana the National Independence celebrations move to Tamale where the people of Tamale witnessed that historic moment. Again, peace of in Dagbon has been achieved and a subsequent enskinment of Yaa Naa”.

Currently, hostels and guests houses are fully been booked for the upcoming National Youth conference of the NPP.

Businesses especially in the area of food vendors and smock industry are embracing themselves for the conference.

A smock dealer, Yakubu Baba told the Daily Statesman in Tamale how excited he is with regards to the conference. “I am very delighted that Tamale will be hosting this National Youth conference… any time there’s a program like this, we the smock dealers make a lot of money. So I am expecting a lot from this conference…. I’m really happy for this conference “.

A popular local food vendor, Mma Zelia said, she is grateful to the NPP for bringing the National Youth Conference to Tamale. “We are really prepared for this”. She added

The 3 day conference will start today Friday and end on Sunday. Today the conference will begin at the Multi-Purpose hall of the University for Development Studies, Tamale campus with the second lady Mrs Samira Bawumia as the guest of honor, on Saturday 7th December 2019, there will be National youth- health walk and rally which will be join by His Excellency President Nana Addo, Veep Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, National Chairman MR Freddy Blay Minister states and their Deputies, the walk will start from the Tamale Jubilee park and end at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium for a big rally where the President Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and other prominent leaders of the party will address the party.

On Sunday 8th December 2019, the NPP led by the His Excellency the President will give thanks for successful conference at the Assemblies of God church in Tamale.

Delegates for the conference includes, National Youth Organizer and Deputies, All Past National Youth Organizers, All Ministers & Dep Min, All MPs, All CEOs & DCEOs, All MMDCEs, Regional Youth Organizers and deputies, All appointees of government, Constituency Youth Organizers and deputies, Delegation from diaspora youth wing, Reps from Accredited TESCON institutions, Reps from accredited volunteer group and Reps from youth related identifiable groups.
