The Executive Director at Africa Center for Security and Counterterrorism, Mr Emmanuel Wamanye Kotin has been disqualified from contesting the 2020 NPP parliamentary primaries in the Saboba constituency of the Northern Region.
The National Vetting Committee of the also disqualify Mr Prince Hardi Adams and Mr Mahama Osman, both parliamentary aspirants in the Gushegu constituency.
The disqualification of the Mr Hardi Adams and Mr Mahama Osman means that the incumbent MP and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dr Ziblim Iddi will be going unchallenged.
Earlier, supporters of Mr Kotin in the Saboba constituency have demonstrated against his disqualification.
In a press release issued and signed by the Northern Regional secretary, Alhaji Yakubu Sibdow on 13th March 2020, said they were disqualified on “legitimate grounds”.
The statement urges the disqualified aspirants to seek redress if they so wish.
“Any APC who feels dissatisfied with the recommendations of the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee(NPVC) can seek re-dress from the National Parliamentary Appeals Committee of the party”.

In line with the rules, regulations and guidelines for the conduct of parliamentary primaries, the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee, Northern Region hereby publishes the list of recommended Aspiring Parliamentary Candidates (APCs) after two days of vigorous vetting of 22 aspiring parliamentary candidates.
Of the 22 APCs, 19 comprising 2 females and 17 males have been recommended to contest the 25th April, 2020 Primaries in the Northern Region.
Emmanuel Kotin of Saboba Constituency, Hardi Adams and Mahama Osman of the Gushegu Constituency have been disqualified on various legitimate grounds.

Any APC who feels dissatisfied with the recommendations of the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee(NPVC) can seek re-dress from the National Parliamentary Appeals Committee of the party.
