Member of Parliament for Savelugu constituency, Honourable Mohammed Abdul Samed Gunu, has stated that the constituency delegates conference held on Friday July 28, 2017 was to discuss the promises made by the ruling New Patriotic Party during the round down to the 2016 election.
According to the Member of Parliament, jobs will be created out of the promises made by the party. He further revealed that his outfit will partner with a Spanish Investor who is willing to invest in the Savelugu constituency.
Mr. Samed Gunu stated that, the governing New Partriotic Party’s perfomance for the past seven months has been tremendous.
“I can assure you that by the close of this year, people will see where the governing New Patriotic Party led by H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and his able Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is carrying the country to” the Member of Parliament added.
Speaking on the issue of the armyworms, Hon. Samed Gunu stated that Government has distributed chemicals to the various districts in the bid to combat the fallen armyworms and further directed affected farmers to contact the Municipal Agric Officer for the chemicals.
“I am taking this opportunty to inform our farmers, that if they are not aware, they can contact the Municipal Agric Officer for supply of the chemicals. We are going to combat the armyworms from all angles to ensure that the yields that our farmers expect will be achieved.”
Speaking Tuesday with the Host of The Flight on Might Fm, Yaro Ishmael, Hon. Samed Gunu outlined some of the projects his office will address for the next four years.
According to Mr. Samed Gunu, promises made prior to the 2016 general election will be fulfilled by his office.
“I made a promise that we are going to lift the phase of the savelugu market; surely it is going to come on board. We shall also improve the Savelugu Hospital because we need a modern theatre and a modern maternity ward.”
Other projects include, upgrading the clinics in Diare and Moglaa, construction of Senior High Technical Schools in both Diare and Moglaa, and the construction of a toll booth in Nabogu.
