Sagnarigu District to get ultra modern markets

The District Chief Executive for Sagnarigu, Hon Iddrisu Mariam has announced the assembly’s intention to build ultra modern markets to improve the socio-economic development in the area.
According to her, the lack of market centers in the area makes development stagnant reiterating that, the district with a population of 148,000 people has no single market.
Hon Mariam said, the Assembly will construct market centers to improve the livelihoods of the people especially women and the youth.
She said, the district is bound with so many business opportunities, thus the need to construct modern market centers to ignite the business environment in the district.


She emphasized that, constructing modern markets will attract investors to do business in the district.
The DCE who was speaking to a large congregants in this year’s Eid Adha celebration in the district said, though the district lacks much infrastructure development, however, the district assembly is poised to bring the needed development to every corner of the district.
She said, the assembly will not relent on its efforts to ensure that the people in the area are satisfied with the pace of developments.

“We will create an enabling environment for business investment and opportunities for every single person in the district”.  She added
She hinted that, the district has no hospital and the road network is very poor, and therefore urged the people to support the Assembly to succeed its development agenda.
