Saboba NPP Youth lock up party office in protest

Supporters of disqualified NPP parliamentary aspirant in the Saboba constituency, Mr. Emmanuel  Kotin have locked up the constituency party office in protest.

Mr. Kotin, a security analyst and the Executive Director at Africa Center for Security and Counterism was disqualified from contesting the 2020 NPP parliamentary primaries in the Saboba constituency of the Northern Region, slated on 25th April 2020.

According to a statement issued by the Northern Regional Secretary of the party, Alhaji Yakubu Subdow, the Security Expert and two other parliamentary aspirants in the Gushegu constituency were disqualified on “Legitimate grounds”.

But supporters Mr. Kotin in a latest protest in the constituency reiterated that, the Security Analyst was unfairly treated and thus wants the National Vetting Committee to reinstate him for the betterment of the party in Saboba.

According to them, they will not vote for the party in the upcoming 2020 elections if Mr. Emmanuel Kotin is not allowed to contest the primaries.

In a video captured by savannanews24.com, the NPP youth wearing red bands chants “No Emma No Vote!”.

Meanwhile, there is heavy security present on the grounds to prevent a mishap.
