Board secretary of Real Tamale United (RTU) sporting club, Jones Abu Alhassan Abdul Fatawu has bemoans the lack of understanding of the English language by a colleague member over a statement he issued early this week.
On Sunday January 21, 2018, Jones Abu Alhassan on behalf of the club issued a statement constituting a five member interim management committee and a four member advisory council that will run the club for the next two years.
The move was not received kindly by a colleague member of the board Alhaji Adam Munkaila Admun who took to social media (what’s app) to vent his anger.
Alhaji Admun described the board secretary’s action as “null and void and completely nonsense”.
North star news gathers Mr. Jones Abu Alhassan was directed to constitute the said interim committees by the chief patron of the club, the Hon. Northern Regional Minister Salifu Saeed.
In the release, Mr. Jones Abu Alhassan clearly States
“discussions were held between some Board members of the club and the Honourable Northern Regional Minister Mr Salifu Saeed at an inchoate emergency board meeting and subsequent consultations with the leadership of the club’s supporters front”. It further Stated
“These decisions are tentative, taken in view of the time constraints, and are therefore subject to ratification by the full board at a subsequent date”. The statement concluded”.
Responding to Alhaji Admun’s comments, Mr. Jones Abu Alhassan says he can not be blamed for his colleague’s inability to understand certain portion of the statement.
Jones Abu Alhassan says if there was something Admun did not understand, he could easily call him to verify rather than going on social media to express his dissatisfaction.
“As a colleague, Admun could easily call to verify why I took that move but not to go on social media . I could have replied and embarrass him but i don’t want to do that I’m more matured than that”. Jones said.
He however accused Alhaji Admun of failing to attend RTU training sessions in the last three years yet he resides in Tamale, a behavior Jones said is not a mark of somebody who loves the club.
Jones Abu Alhassan further accused Alhaji Admun and others of rejecting several attempts to bring investors to buy majority shears, once it wasn’t going to serve their interest they short it down yet they contribute less to the club.
Jones Abu Alhassan aslo disclosed that, prior to the last meeting they held with the chief patron of the club, he sent out notice to all active board members and later made a follow up with telephone calls a night before the scheduled date but Alhaji Admun could not attend citing he had other equally pressing issues.
