Our sources at the seat of government (Flagstaff House) revealed that, His Excellency the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was sadden about the floods that hit some parts of the northern region.
Two persons have been officially confirmed dead whiles another person a child is still missing following a heavy downpour, Tuesday.
Hundreds houses were submerged leaving thousands homeless and destroyed properties worth thousands of cedis.
Some part of the region especially in the north eastern corridor were also badly affected by the Tuesday rains.
Several bridges have been wash away by the rain cutting off communities.
In a press statement issued at the seat of government and signed by the Information Minister, Hon Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, His Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on behalf of the people of Ghana has expressed his profound sympathies to the bereaved families and victims of the Tamale floods.
