A Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Mr Akilu Sayibu, has urged Ghanaian exporters and potential exporters of non traditional export to promote their businesses through corporate websites to attract potential buyers.
Speaking to a group of exporters in Accra, Mr Sayibu told them that the export business was an international trade and there was therefore the need for exporters to create their presence on the global market through procuring business websites.
“An export entity with a website is more likely to reach potential buyers with its products and services than one without a website” he posited.
The deputy GEPA C. E. O disclosed that most exporters do not have websites as a way of marketing their companies and also reaching out to the market.
Mr Sayibu also encouraged exporters to design business cards, leaflets and other marketing paraphenalia as a way to market their enterprises when attending local and International Trade Fairs and exhitibions to reach a wider trade network.
The Deputy GEPA CEO also used the occasion to appeal to exporters to see the Ghana Export Promotion Authority as their number one source of information when it comes to export of non traditional products and services.
