The Association of Northern Ghanaians in Georgia, USA has presented some items to the Center of Faith School, a deprived Arabia and English school at Zanzirigu in the Tamale South Constituency of the Northern Region.
The items include used desktop computers, used clothes, face masks, power banks, and assorted books.
The presentation was made on behalf of the association by its Deputy General Secretary Mr. Kamal Mustapha affectionately called ALACRITY.
The Association of Northern Ghanaians in Georgia, USA is made up of members from the five regions in the North of Ghana. The association is non-religious, non-political and non-tribal. It’s headed by executives and a community chief to co-exist with one another and other recognized groups.
Speaking at the presentation, Deputy General Secretary of the Association of Northern Ghanaians in Georgia, USA, Mr. Kamal Mustapha said the donation is one of the many donations the association made to several communities in Northern Ghana, adding that, the association aim is to bring the needed development to deprived communities up north.
Mr. Kamal hinted that the association is working assiduously to augment efforts been made by the government and its development partners in the area of education, health, and economic development.
The Association of Northern Ghanaians Deputy General Secretary urged both tutors and students of the school to observe the COVID-19 protocols in other prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
Receiving the items on behalf of the School, the proprietor of the school, Sheikh Mohammed Sururu Sulemana thanked the association for their generosity and prayed for the blessings of God upon all members.
He noted that, the donation to the school was timely as the school lacks basic teaching and learning materials, adding that, the computers will go a long way to help the students learn IT.
“We are overwhelmed with this donation and we are indeed very grateful to brothers and sisters in Georgia, USA. The computers will help us a lot”. He said
Sheikh Sururu Sulemana said, the items will be used to enhance teaching and learning in the school.
One of the students, Mohammed Hussein Kamal on behalf of the students also thanked the Associaltion of Northern Ghanaians in Georgia, USA for the kind gesture.
