Ghana’s Second lady, Her Excellency Samira Bawumia on Facebook thanked the people of Ghana for their prayers and well wishes towards the health of her husband, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia.
Dr. Bawumia who was taken ill last Friday is currently in UK on medical leave according to the Flagstaff House.
Ghana’s second lady, Samira Bawumia has indicated in a Facebook post that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Mawumia who was taken ill last Friday is very well and will return to work soon.
The Second Lady assured the people of Ghana that, the Veep will be back to work in Ghana very soon.
Dr Bawumia was reported ill by the presidency on Friday, January 19, 2018. He was later flown to the UK on Saturday for further treatment.
The statement signed by the Chief of Staff Frema Osei-Opare said the Vice-President is on medical leave as advised by his doctors. She said the Vice-President was joined by his wife for the UK trip.

Meanwhile, the press secretary to the Vice President, Mr. Frank Agyei-Twum today also thanked Ghanaians for praying for the Vice President Bawumia to get well.
He wrote on his Facebook page: “I wish everyone a double portion of whatever they wish for H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia”..
