Deportivo Alaves midfielder Mubarak
Wakaso was involved in an accident on his way to Loiu Airport for Ghana’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
According to his club communiqué, the incident happened on the AP-68 motorway on Sunday morning whiles he heads to the Loiu Airport to join his teammates in Ghana.
The 28-year-old is in perfectcondition to join the senior national team of Ghana according to theclub’s statement.
The club official statement reads “Deportivo Alavés player, Wakaso
Mubarak, has had a slight car accident this morning. It is in perfect condition.”
“The incident occurred this morning on a stretch of the AP-68 motorway when the player was heading to the Loiu airport to travel to Ghana and join the national team.”
“Wakaso has resumed his way to the airport normally minutes later.
He was in action for Alaves as they managed to record a 1-0 home victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday.
Wakaso has capped 51 times for Ghana with twelve goals to his credit.
Speaking to his special aide in Ghana, Mr. Mubarik Afagiya said, the Ghanaian superstar is unhurt and be available for the Black Stars match on Thursday in Kumasi. “He is doing great after the accident, he is not hurt….its only the car which was damage”. He told savannanews24.com
