Mrs Samira Bawumia donates medical consumables to TTH Hamza Lansah Lolly:

Ghana’s Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia, has donated a large consignment of surgical equipment and medical supplies to the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) worth over $60,000.

The medical consumables include boxes of canolas, disinfectants, monitors, catheter, boxes of NG tubes, suction device, syringe pump, pulse oximeter and minor surgical and OPD equipment.









The donation was done through the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Project.

Hajia Samira hinted that, she will use her office to support the hospital which saves as referral hospital in the three Northern Regions.





The Second Lady reiterated the commitment of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s administration to improve the country’s health sector.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr. David Z. Kolbilla, thanked Her Excellency the Second Lady for the donation and urged her to continue her benevolence to the hospital.







Dr. Kolbilla said the hospital which is a major referral health facility in the North has so many prospects but with a lot of challenges including infrequent water supply, oxygen, accommodation for staff and hostel for patients’ relatives and among others.

The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed, on behalf of the chiefs and people thanked the Second Lady for her kind gesture.
