Members of Parliament from both sides of the political divided are eager to see the inception of the Zongo Development fund as the keep asking the minister in charge when it would start operations.
This was disclosed to the media in Wa on Saturday when the Minister of Zongo and Inner Cities Development Alhaji Boniface Abubakari Sidique met with stakeholders to discuss the Zongo Development Fund.

According to the minister, MPs from both sides keep asking him when the fund will be operational. He indicated that almost all the MPs are pushing him to fast track the processes leading to the enacting of the legislative instrument to operationalize the fund.
He said,”I believe before the end of June or by the end of June, the document will be ready for approval by cabinet and by the end of July it should be ready for parliamentary approval. Almost every MP both NDC and NPP are pushing me, asking me when am coming to their Zongo.
It means that everybody is eager to see the importance of the ministry since it would change the perception since individual MPs cannot change the Zongo communities. It is. Collective effort of everybody”.
