Mr. Mohammed Abdul Rashid Kawawa known both in the media and music industry as Kawastone aka Bra Rashid has quit Radio Tamale.
Mr. Kawawa was employed by Radio Tamale in 2016 as the Marketing Manager.
The experience radio presenter and music icon tendered his resignation letter to his employers last three weeks which takes effects on 1st November 2017.
Mr. Abdul Rashid as the Marketing Manager also host the Dagbani shows on Radio Tamale 91.7.
On Fridays he host an Islamic program called Islamic music request, and on every Saturday and Sunday host the Home Touch show where he treats music lovers with the hotest and major Dagbani hits tracks.
He also profile and interview music artiste on both shows.
Accoriding to our investigations, the natural-born entertainer as he called himself before his resignation from Radio Tamale was potch by several radio stations in the Northern region including Suhupielli FM, Zaa Radio, Might FM and others.
Your news worthy savannanews24.com can authoritatively confirm that, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Rashid Kawawa aka Bra Rashid has received an appointment with the most listened radio station in Northern region, Zaa Radio.
The appointment letter which was intercepted by savannanews24.com takes effects from 1st November 2017.
Mr. Kawawa will start hosting the breakfast show dubbed “Zaa Daa-bilim Saha ” meaning Zaa Radio market hour.
The show will begin at 8am and ends at 10am before the hottest news paper review in Dagbani hosted by another radio veteran Alhassan Yushawu Jahafo.
Savannanews24.com have gathered that, Bra Rashid’s decision to accept Zaa Radio offer was based on several consultations with people of high caliber despite mouth-watery offers from other radio stations in the Northern Region.
Mr. Mohammed Abdul Rashid Kawawa is one of the versitile radio presenters in Northern Ghana, who can handle any radio show because his ability to speak fluently in various Ghanaian languages.
Kawastone started his radio career with Fiila FM 89.3 in 2003 where he introduces the ever talent hunt show on radio “Yal parim” meaning Raps in Dagbani. The Yal parim on Fiila FM unearthed a lot of young talents at that time including the man of the moment, the ruler of Northern Music, Ahmed Mujahid Bello known as Fancy Gadam.
Mr. Kawastone joined the newly established Might FM in Savelugu in 2011 where he hosted the drive-time for 5 years and 2016 joined the only urban radio station in Tamale, Radio Tamale as the Marketing Manager.
Joining Zaa Radio, a lot is expected of him to continue his creativity in the radio industry.
