The Northern Regional Minister, Hon Salifu Saeed said, he is devastated about the death of the Northern Regional correspondent for TV3, Mr. Zakaria Abdul Kadiri.
Mr. Zakaria Abdul Kadiri popularly known as Zak TV3 passed on yesterday evening at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).
According to the Minister, the death of the veteran journalist is a huge loss to the region and the Nation, ” we have not only loss a senior brother and a good friend but a great asset in the field of journalism in Ghana”.
“When I heard the news yesterday, I could not believe it because I know Mr Zak TV3 to be full of life and very energetic”. He said,
Speaking to Savannanews24.Com, Hon SS said, he got to know Mr. Zak TV3 in the 80s when he was posted to Bimbilla as Ghanaian Times newspaper reporter. ” I was in the secondary when he was posted to Bimbilla to report, I had a very good relationship with him since then and when I became the District Chief Executive for Nanumba North in the Kufour’s regime we consolidated our relationship. Mr. Zak has always propagated the good fortunes of the North. I’m very devastated right now, Mr. Zak TV3 was a selfless man and very courageous in his works as a journalist… I’m really sad for this great loss”.
The Northern Regional therefore console the family of the Veteran Journalist and urged them to pray for his gentle soul to rest in perfect peace.
” I will like to send my condolences to the bereaved family. This is the wishes of God. At this difficult time i urged the family to be patient and pray for him. May Allah grant our senior brother and friend jannah”.
