Melodious singer and songwriter, Tuba ‘Boaster’ Zak has taken to social media to talk about his achievements in northern music and putting the northern entertainment on the world map.

The name Tuba Boaster became a household name for entertainment lovers in Northern Ghana in the 90s due to his flamboyant, flawless and stylish lifestyle. A real talent and entertainer who brought the northern RnB to live through his sexy-soothing voice and electrifying performances.

The uniqueness of his voice and style makes him a gem thus one cannot write the history of northern RnB/hiplife without mentioning his name, Tuba Boaster.

Born as Abdul Basit Zakaria, Tuba Boaster is a man of many parts, an entertainer, artist, promoter, organizer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. He is a role model to many people up north.

Tuba Boaster in his Facebook wall brags that, he brought innovations into the Northern entertainment industry, adding that, except the Legendary Rocky Dawuni, he is the first northern artist to organize a show in a Stadium. “I am the second person-after Rocky Dawuni who started organizing shows in the stadium when I brought KK Kosu , Sarkodie R2 Bees, Edem”

He posited that, he was the first artist who brought color posters to the North and the first Northern artist to produce a music video that got massive airplay on 4syte TV and DSTV.

Abdul Basit also known as Tuba Dagomba, currently reside in the United State with his family mentioned on Facebook 15 of his ‘exclusive’ achievement as a musician from Northern Ghana.

“i am the only senior artist who was consistently performing on 90% of stadium shows from since the opening of ‘Tamale’ stadium, 2016 to 2018 I performed on southern stages more than anyone in Tamale, i was the first northern artist on 4syte TV and DSTV” He wrote on his Facebook wall

His first music album “Atamuda” in 2001 went nationwide where he featured Ghanaian superstars at the time including, Samini, Edem, KK Fosu, Dogo, Edem, Sarkodie and his second album which featured his junior brother Tap Tax was a massive hit.

Tuba Dagomba recent hit,Taabaya which featured Zeal of VVIP is also a real afro-jam trended on TV channels and social media platforms. The song is a dj’s favourite in several pubs and clubs across the globe including, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Europe and US.

Tuba won the artiste of the decade coveted award at the just ended Northern Entertainment Awards (NEA).
