The suspended Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Mr. Adjenim Boateng Adjei has lamented that, the allegations of corruption and conflict of interest levelled against him is untrue, reiterated that, he has been crucified for doing nothing.
The embattled CEO of PPA is currently under investigation following an investigations video documentary piece by Joy FM’s Manasseh Azure Awuni dubbed “Contract for Sale”.
Speaking to journalists before availing himself to the Special Prosecutor, Mr. Martin Amidu upon the directive of the President, Nana Addo, Thursday, Mr. A.B. Adjei said “The public is simply speaking words of untruth. I regret the way I am being crucified for doing nothing.
Meanwhile, Lawyers of Mr. A.B. Adjei have challenged investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni to provide documentary evidence that he bought from Talent Discovery Limited (TDL), a company belonging to the embattled PPA CEO.
According to Augustine Obour, giving out money to the manager of TDL as payment for purchasing a contract, which was captured in the video documentary titled ‘Contracts for sale’ does not mean the company sold the contract.
“Let he (Manasseh Azure) show a signed contract that TDL has entered into an agreement with his company. Let him show it. It doesn’t matter where he paid money to, he can go ahead and pay money to people on his way. Has he paid money to TDL?” he questioned.
