I am not the best Mayor; I’m just doing my job – Musah Superior

The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale, Hon Iddrissu Musah has stated that, his conviction and zeal to serve and make Tamale one of the best metropolises in Africa can never be compromise.

Many people after his unpopular demolishing exercise described the Tamale Youngest Mayor as the best thing that has ever happened to the metropolis.

For the first time the city is becoming more clean and accessible especially in the central business district. People are beginning to be law abiding on the streets of the metropolis.

Both traditional authorities and religious leaders within the metropolis have publicly commended the Tamale Mayor on his bravery and pledged their full support in ensuring that he succeed.

But, the Hon Iddrisu Musah reiterated that, “I’m not the best Mayor, I’m just my job and I’m serving my people the best way I can”.

The Youngest Tamale Mayor popularly known as ‘Superior’ revealed that, the metro assembly is working on a very comprehensive programme to bring development to the metropolis.

Mr. Musah Superior who was speaking in an exclusive interviewed with savannanews24.com after a short meeting with the TaMA taskforce, Tuesday said, the metropolis has positioned itself to attract more businesses and investors from across the world.

He noted that, bringing sanity into central business district will create more opportunities and boost the business environment within the metropolis.

The Tamale Mayor commended the TaMA taskforce for their efforts in bring sanity into the metropolis but rebuff earlier media reports that suggested that the taskforce during the end of Ramadan took bride from hawkers and allowed them back on the streets.

Traders and hawkers on Friday came back on the streets to sell their wares, but the taskforce on Sunday led by the Tamale Mayor drive them away.

Hon Iddrisu Musah said, the taskforce never abandoned their post and the bribery allegations level against them is false “in fact, it was the traders and hawkers that violated our laws”.  He add

He noted that, there are satellite markets dotted around the metropolis where these hawkers and traders can sell their wares without any difficulty.
