Inhabitants in the Sagnarigu Municipal of the Northern Region have been hit by floods following a heavy down pour yesterday afternoon. The rain which started around 1:pm lasted for almost three hours flooded many homes and destroyed several properties.

Residents have been stranded and are therefore calling on city authorities and the Municipal NADMO to come to their aid.

Visit to some affected parts of the Municipality this morning revealed a devastated situation where resident are still cleaning and parching their homes.

Residents said, they are yet to find a glimpse of the Municipal NADMO officials in the affected areas.

Areas affected including Shishegu, Kpalsi, old airport, Sagnarigu, Kasalgu, kulnyavela and other flood prone areas.
