Habib Iddrisu says “Thank you” to constituents

The 2016 NPP parliamentary candidate for the Sagnarigu Constituency, Hon Habib Iddrisu has thrown a huge party for members of the NPP in the constituency.
The get-together was to formally thank party faithfuls and also consolidate party’s cohesion and unity in the Sagnarigu Constituency.
Again, the get-together was to enhance the relationship between the 2016 Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Habib Iddrisu and members of the party. 

Mr. Habib who contested the 2016 elections was able to improved the fortunes of the NPP in the Sagnarigu Constituency.
A constituency of total dominance of the NDC which was carved out of the Tamale North Constituency in the 2012 elections.
Mr. Habib in 2016 elections pulled 7,888 representing 20.73% whiles the incumbent Hon Alhaji Alhassan Bashir Fuseini from NDC got 26,898 representing 70.68% of the total votes cast.

In the 2012 elections, Mr. A.B Fuseini won with 29,508 votes representing 78.79% whiles the NPP parliamentary candidate Mr. Yakubu Abdul Kareem received 6,935 votes representing 18.53%.

Mr. Habib Iddrisu who is also known as “Honorable Generous” though a first-time parliamentary contender, increased the NPP votes in the constituency with over 2%.

Again, the 2016 NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo votes was increased from 6,665 (17.87%) in 2012 to 7,708 (20.84%) in 2016 elections.
Speaking to a large party crowd, Hon Habib Iddrisu said, the improvement of the NPP fortunes in the last elections shows how formidable the party is in the constituency, adding that, the NPP has become the most attractive party in the constituency.
Hon Habib posited that, with the inroads made in the last general elections, the NPP is gaining more grounds in the constituency, ” the popularity of the party in the constituency is an indication of our victory over the NDC come 2020 elections”. He reiterated 


The 2016 NPP Sagnarigu Parliamentary candidate noted that, the immense contributions of the party’s council of Elders, constituency executives, polling station executives, ward chairmen, the women wings and the teeming hardworking supporters of the party cannot be over emphasized and therefore urged members of party to continue their support now that the NPP is in power.

“The party is overwhelmed with your support. Though we did not win the Sagnarigu seat, however, it is your hardwork and prayers that made the NPP to win the 2016 elections”. he acknowledged
“I want to thank you all for your support… I really appreciate all the good things you did on my behalf” he added
Hon Habib again urged members of the party to take advantage of the numerous opportunities created by the NPP Nana Addo led government.

Present at the get-together includes, the Sagnarigu Constituency council of Elders, constituency executives, polling station executives, ward chairmen, Dankwa Ladies, Loyal Ladies, members of Yes We Can, TESCON, NPP communications team and the teeming supporters of the party.

Other personalities includes, Mr. Don Cosmos, Founder and executive member of Yes We Can, Mr. Hashim Taafo an NPP party stalwart and aspiring Tamale Central constituency youth organizer.
