Gambaga police intercept vehicle with arms

Information reaching indicates that, the Gambaga Police command have impounded a Nissan patrol with arms.

The vehicle with  registration No. GE 5433-16  was impounded this morning at 10:30am.

Police made a search in the vehicle and retrieve six (6) pump action guns and one hundred and thirty catridgies.

Suspects are detained whilst retrieve exhibits are kept for evidential purpose.

Six people were found in the car, including the driver and a woman.

The vehicle was heading towards Namong in the Bunkprugu-Yuuyoo area from Tamale.

The suspects are currently detained whilst retrieve exhibits are kept for evidential purpose.


The Northern Regional Police Commander, DCOP Patrick Sarpong confirming the arrest said, the suspects are currently under investigations.
