Curfew imposed in Yendi and its environs as New Ya-Na is nominated for Dagbon

The Ministry of Interior has on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument imposed a 5:oo p.m to 7:00 a.m curfew on Yendi Township and its environs, effective, Friday, 18th January, 2019.

This follows the nomination of the Chief of Savelugu, Yoo-Na Abukari Mahama as the New Ya-Na for Dagbon Kingdom.

The imposition of the curfew is to forestall any violence as well as ensure the maintenance of the law and order in Yendi and its environs.
