Concern NPP Youth want Mion DCE sacked, plans massive demo

The Concern NPP Youth in the Mion Constituency of the Northern Region have petitioned  the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to remove the District Executive of Mion, Hon Alhaji Mohammed Abdallah Hashim out of office.

The NPP Youth in a petition to President Akufo-Addo stated that, the continuous stay of Alhaji Abdallah Hashim in office will create doom for the party in the upcoming 7 December general elections.

The petition which was signed by 54 members of the Mion Concern NPP Youth wants the President to as matter of urgency sack Mr. Mohamed Abdallah Hashim from office.

The petition was copied to the National Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Freddy Blay, Northern Regional Chairman, Mr. Adam Samba, Northern Regional Minister, Hon Salifu Saeed, NPP Council of Elders, Mion Constituency Chairman and Mion Youth Organizer.

The NPP youth threatens to go on demonstration if the DCE is not removed out of office by next week, reiterating that, Mr. Abdallah Hashim is a saboteur of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia led NPP government.

According to the NPP Concern Youth of Mion, the Mion DCE unlike his colleagues MMDCEs has poorly perform to bring the needed development to the people of the area.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s office in Mion, Friday, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Jalil spokesperson for the group said the over two and half years stay in office of Mr. Abdallah Hashim as DCE for Mion have not seen any major development in the area, “no single community in Mion have been connected to the national electricity grid”.

The NPP youth noted that, electrification is going to play a major role in the 2020 elections in the constituency” yet the Mion District still remains the least coverage of electricity in the Northern Region”.

Mr. Abdul Jalil added that, the performance of the Mion DCE in other sectors is equal abysmal, “that he cannot visit some of our communities for campaign”.

He noted that, if care is not taken immediately the actions and inactions of Hon Abdallah Hashim will thwart the fortunes of the party in the upcoming 2020 general elections, saying that, Mr. Hashim have not only loss touch with the entire membership of the party but the whole Mion district.

The Mion NPP Concern Youth leader said, the gross disrespect shown by the DCE to members of the party is an afront to sabotage the party chances in the upcoming general elections, adding that, the Mion DCE is the reason the party performs poorly in the last elections.

The Concern NPP Youth again accuses the DCE of campaigning against the 2020 NPP parliamentary candidate for the area, Hon Musah Abdul Aziz Ayaba.

“The DCE has organized a series of programs in our communities without the parliamentary candidate and this situation is very disturbing and has the tendency of breaking down the party”. He stated

The Mion NPP Concern Youth reiterated that, they will continue to follow the right structures of the party to get the DCE remove, however “if these issues are not attended to immediately, we will organize series of press conferences and demonstrations. We cannot sit down and watch one-person derail our fortunes in the upcoming general elections. It is very clear that caliber of our 2020 parliamentary candidate and the good work of President Akufo-Addo in the Northern Region and Ghana at large will yield positive results in the 2020 general elections”.

The NPP Youth announced that, they are planning a massive demonstration in the constituency next week to press their demands, “We will continue to plead with His Excellency President Abudani I Akufo-Addo to sack Mr. Hashim to save our party in Mion”.
