Church sues Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium Abdulai:

The Holy Hill Chapel Church has filed a suit at the Tamale High Court against the management of the Aliu Mahama sports stadium.

This follows a reported attempt by management of the stadium to stop their operations at the facility.

Holy Hill Chapel is one of four churches who have had it sermons at the Aliu Mahama stadium the past five years.

Management of the facility will not speak to the issue except to say the case is in court.

Our sources have gathered that the new Northern Regional Sports Development Officer (RSDO) Madam Salamatu Alhassan could not trace evidence of payment by the churches for operating at the facility.

Sources further revealed, in spite of the stadium’s lightning system, Holy Hill Chapel operates within a confine with more than 25 additional construction lighting, additional 3 external air-conditioning and 4 plasma television.

The Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium was one of the two brand new Stadia’s put up to host the CAN 2008 tournament which was hosted by Ghana.

It has since played host to several activities including conferences and sports.

Other churches that operate at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium include; Grace Gospel Ministry, Flaming fire Ministry and Converted Christian Ministry.
