The Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Mohammed Baantimah Adam Samba has send a word of caution to parliamentary aspirants not to buss their supporters to the vetting grounds.
The NPP will start vetting its parliamentary aspirants in 9 constituencies of the Northern Region today. Eleven parliamentary aspirants from 4 constituencies will be vetted today including, Bimbilla, Savelugu, Nantong, Tolon and Wulensi.
Parliamentary aspirants to be vetted today includes, Tolon- Incumbent Hon Wahab Suhuyini Wumbei, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, Jaagbo Baako, Mohammed Zakaria and Hajia Amama Sayibu, Wulensi- Alhaji Abdulai Haruna and Hon Thomas Ogajah, Nantong- Hon Alhaji Hardi Tufeu and Savelugu- Hon Mohammed Abdul Somed Gunu (Unopposed). Meanwhile, s24 has gathered that, the Defense Minister Hon Dominic Nitiwul who is currently standing unopposed in the Bimbilla Constituency will not be part of the vetting process today as he has left the shores of Ghana for an official assignment. Tomorrow 5th March 2020, the rest of the parliamentary aspirants will be vetted, they includes, Mathew Nyindam Kpandai, Farouk Aliu Mahama- Yendi, Abibata Mahama-Yendi, Osman Baba Daney-Yendi, Ziblim Iddi-Gushegu, Mahama Osman-Gushegu, Hardy Adams-Gushegu, Charles Bintim-Saboba, Emmanuel M Kotin-Saboba, Jawol Binam Abraham-Saboba, Kayil Banab-Saboba.

*CHAIRMAN SAMBA CAUTIONS ALL PARLIAMENTARY ASPIRANTS TO NOT BUS SUPPORTERS FOR VETTING*
The hierarchy of the NPP in the Northern Region wishes to thank all Parliamentary Elections Committees CEC in Constituencies with sitting MPs for a good job done in the processes leading to the vetting of 22 parliamentary aspirants on 4th and 5th March, 2020. We wish to equally congratulate all Aspiring Parliamentary Candidates (APCs) for successful filing of nominations.
The Regional Party, however, sounds a word of caution to all APCs that,
There shall be no bussing of supporters to the venue of the vetting and that only the APCs and their drivers will be allowed entery to the venue.
The party in the region is wide awake and would not spare any candidate who flouts the rule of engagement.
APCs are further reminded that the party reserves the right to disqualify any parliamentary aspirant who fails to abide by the rules and regulations spelt out in the nomination forms.
We count on your usual cooperation and best wishes to all APCs.
