Information reaching savanannanews24.com indicates that the Deputy Agriculture, Minister Hon William Quaitoo who made ethnocentric comments about the people of the North has resigned.
There have been several calls across the country for the Deputy Minister to resign or get sacked by the President Nana Akufo-Addo after he made those unguarded remarks.
Hon William Quaitoo savannanews24 learnt tendered his resignation letter to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo this evening.
His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accepted the Minister’s resignation with immediate effect.
According to the Communications Director at the Presidency, Mr. Eugene Arhin, the President Nana Akufo-Addo wished the Akim Oda MP very best in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, the details of the embattled Deputy Minister’s resignation letter is yet to be made public by the presidency.
