The Paramount Chief of Jenakpeb Traditional area in the Northern Region, Alhaji Adam Ibn Alhassan has charge parents to be proactive and responsible in the upbringing of their wards.

He said parents are tools who guard their children to prosperity and bright future, thus those parents should encourage their ward’s to learn and not allow them to sell pure water and commodities in the market.

According to him some parents most especially father’s irresponsible attitude had led many children to indulge in immoral and evil acts in the society which has the tendency to soil their potential.

Addressing Parents and Guardians at the official launch of Ulul-Albaab International School Complex and Holiday Parade in the Sagnarigu district, Naa-Alhassan said circular education sanitize children on the effects of lies, immoral acts and the responsibility of parents to children through the teachings of the holy prophet, this he maintain is vital to human development.

He said Chiefs being the administrator of communities should always release lands for development, and as well support circular education, adding that most of them(Chief’s) help in the payment of young people school fee’s and satisfy parents who can’t afford to pay their wards fees.

Alhaji Alhassan advised father’s to step-up their responsibilities, and immensely support their wards to become responsible citizens.

On the part of the school proprietor, Sheikh Issah Abdulai urged parents to make it a habit of paying wards school fees on time for the smooth running of the institutions, and all other private schools in the country.

He argued that private schools are the face of education in the country, because some teachers at the government school do not comply with directives by the education service.

“I have teach in government school for twenty years, and I have found so many things that should have been done for the success of students, which have not been done by government, teachers are brought from different places, the school authority have not employed them, because of that it is difficult to direct them, but with your own school you can direct, you can restructure the school syllabus, and timetable to suit the need of time.” He said

Sheikh Issah enumerated that ‘everything that is run by government is for everybody, and everything that is for everybody is for nobody, and anything that is not for anybody cannot be run sufficiently” hence proprietors of private schools should continue running their institutions independently, and achieve the targeted goals.

According to him the establishment of Ulul-Albaab International School Complex is to improve circular education in northern region, and encourage children at the lower primary to complete the holy Qur’an within two years, adding that about twenty children have since completed the Qur’an within the given time.
