Former Minister of Lands and Forestry and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, Ahaji Inusah Fuseini, says Vice President Bawumia is a public property and that Ghanaians deserve to know his health status.
The presidency on Saturday announced that, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had been flown to the UK for further medical treatment after he was reported unwell Friday.
The statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare, said the Vice-President is on medical leave upon advice by his doctors.
However, speaking on Atinka Midday News Monday, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, stated that the president as well as the vice president belong to the state. According to him, there are equally good health facilities in the country and so “the vice president flying outside the country for medical observation means a lot.”
“It is quite worrying that Korle-bu, KATH and all the big hospitals could not observe the vice President. He is a public property and his general wellbeing is our concern”, he added.
