The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed Mr. Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini as the Deputy Director of Communications of the party.

Mr. Akbar Khomeini, a young lawyer who is currently working in the office of the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will assist Mr. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Member of Parliament for Adenta.

The Adenta MP has been appointed as the substantive Communications Director of the party, taking over from the acting Communication Director of the party, Mr. Yaw Adomako Baafi.

Other appointments to the Communication directorate of the party include, Richard Ahiagbah, Kofi Agyepong, Kamal-deen Abdallah, Jennifer Oforiwaah and Richard Nyamah.

Mr. Akbar Khomeini, a native of Yendi is a very competent communicator whose communication skills earned him a lot of admiration from all political cycles in the country.
He started as a NPP serial caller and later on became the best communicator for the party in the Northern Region.

Mr. Khomeini in opposition was one of the young communicators of the party who trumpeted and translated the Free SHS policy of the Nana Addo/Bawumia to the masses.

Again, Mr. Akbar Khomeini on the 2012 election petition serialized the proceedings of the court in Dagbani to enable a lot of people to understand perfectly the court proceedings.

The appointment of the young lawyer received many commendations from family and friends on social media.
